Help with gaming pc

Hello..

I want to build a computer, that can play bf2, 2142 etc,,

these are the specs i have so far..

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 CPU $459
Abit AW9D Motherboard $269
2gig Geil DDR2800 $369
2 x 320gig Hdds $278
Antec P180 Case $219
Antec 650w Powersupplyv $209
Asus 8800GTX $945
Pioneer DVR-111D $46

Are these Ok?

Yes that system seems pretty good nothing wrong with it. Few things I would change but this is just Personal preference. the Ram & the Powersupply I would go with OCZ as the manufacture just because I use them all the time in my system and in clients systems and have yet to have a problem with that company. Also I think the warrenty period is longer for the OCZ powersupply its either 3 or 5 years cant remember.

I also personally like Seagate for the harddrives & Asus for the Motherboard But once again thats just what I like and have used in systems I have built. But what you have picked is just as good.

One thing you Might want to do is wait for ATI to bring out their DX10 video card (which should be soon) I have heard its faster then the 8800 and even if its not I can see the price for the 8800 going down now that it will have some competition in the DX10 field.
