I am just starting to get involved with the Linux world...I have heard alot of wonderful stuff about it.

I recently installed Caldera onto my PC....using the entire disk. The installation went fine...got into the KDE etc.

However, I shutdown/restarted the PC to see what services..are being started...But then that's when I got to the point that said I need to type in the GRUB commands to continue the installation.

This is where I need some help.....I formatted the disk and installed Caldera (only)....

Forgive my dumb question....But I am what you will consider a "newbie"

Did the installer ask where to put the bootloader(Grub)? If so,did you select the MBR?If not you need to make a boot floppy .Then you'll probably need to install Grub to the MBR.
