Help with Laptop

    i have an 'eMachines' l'top which came with 'Vista'.
    I formatted it, and loaded XP to make it similar to my desktop.
    how can i install internet, and email on this laptop?? Please.

    where did the xp come from is it genuine
    some hardware may not have XP drivers

    exact model of the laptop

    please do the following

    Windows Validation

    If you cannot access the internet with this PC, then you will need to paste the results into something like notepad and then copy onto a machine that can access the internet and post the results in a reply here.
    Save the file to a USB flash drive or other removable media. Plug it into the working computer with internet access and copy the file and paste here.

    Please download and run MGADiag Diagnostic Tool and post back the report it creates:
    • Double-click on MGADiag.exe to launch the program
    • Click "Continue"
    • Ensure that the "Windows" tab is selected (it should be by default)
    • Click the "Copy" button to copy the MGA Diagnostic Report to the Windows clipboard
    • Paste the MGA Diagnostic Report back here in your next reply

    Please download and run WVCheck and post back the report it creates:
    • Double-click WVCheck.exe.
    • As indicated by the prompt, this program can take a while depending on your hard drive space.
    • Once the program is done, copy the contents of the Notepad file as a reply.

    You appear to have an eMachines D-series laptop. The exact model number is needed.

    D629 appears to be the number of its 14.1" display.
