"An error has occurred in the script on this page

line [varies]
char [varies]
error syntax
code 0
url [varies with web page]

Do you want to continue running script on this page

yes
no"

---end of annoying window

in the control panel: java 6 update 26

the latest update (in 6) appears to be 29.

the window with the above text appears on every web site i visit. if i stay on a page i hit the yes/no
choice a few times and it will stay away until i go to another page.

in the past a tooltip balloon would appear and inform me of new updattes. somthing seems to have
gone wrong with the process which i did not notice until a java malfunction made itself manifest.

should i uninstall update 26 and find a site to download the larest version of java 6?
