    Hello all!
Please excuse me for being a total computer noob but I need some help.
I want to erase my harddrive and then reinstall windows.
I don't want to just slap a copy of windows over my existing junk, I want to erase and start from scratch.
    How do I do this????
    Any help is appreciated!
    And thanks in advance!

    Hi False,

Most newer OS will boot from CD (Windows).
Go into your BIOS and set the first boot device to your CD-ROM.
Next restart and boot from the CD.

You should be able to set the partitions and format the drive from there.
