I just bought the sims deluxe edition. I have Win 98 and a pentium III. I tried installing the game and a little into the install I get a message coming up saying "COMPONENT TRANSFER ERROR" The tech for their website told me I might have a corrupt version of the game on my computer and to just delete it and try again, but I checked and I can't see anything. Please help!!!

Um what did you check?... Have you removed all of the sims and tried installing it again...

Or, if this is the very first install, and you get the error, return the disc's and get new ones.. Tell the store they are bad and you want a replacement..

Out of thousands made, a few end up bad..
