My OS is windows xp and im trying to get my two joysticks to work but I only have one gameport on my computer. So I am using a Y-splitter. Both joysticks work on their own without the Y-splitter. However with the splitter both joysticks will only work at one end. At the other end both axises of either joystick will work fine but neither buttons will work.
In other works at any one time I can get only 4-axis 2-button, and I want 4-axis 4-button.
In xp's game controller setup I am selecting 'Two 2-axis, 2-button joysticks on one gameport'. Under installed game controllers there are two items listed both with status OK.

    Please help.
