I have an HP Windows 10 laptop PC that is going to sleep unexpectedly when it's idle (settings are not set to turn off after being idle either). I have tried chatting with a Microsoft Answer Tech online and Geek Squad but they want me to pay for as plan to get the issue fixed so hopefully somebody here can better direct me on what to do. I have tried uninstalling the battery drivers and running a malware scan with Malwarebytes but the problem still persists. In the past I have just held down the power button a lot so from now on I am shutting it down regularly. Would I need to take the PC into a repair shop or can this be fixed at home? I hope I did not damage anything permanently and am worried about that. I need help on how to fix this issue as I like to leave the computer on to download stuff or record the radio and that is interfering with that. Thanks.

Go to Start > Windows System > right click Command prompt and choose Run as Admin. Then type in "powercfg /h off" This command will turn off hibernation. See if it works.
