help with zone alarm pro

    :confused: i installed f-secure antivirus while i had zone alarm pro, need to say ..disaster..i got rid of f-secure and all of its components..i think..but my zone alrm engine wont start..i tried everything i know how..clean uninstall and install and still nothing and i got rid of every trace of zone alrm i could find and still when i restart and reinstall...still wont start..please someone let me know what the hell is goin on... ty :mad: :mad:..ps i have win xp home.

    f-secure is an anti-virus program, whereas Zone Alarm is just a firewall. What was the problems that you had with those two?

    However, did you fully remove f-secure? If you're not sure, take a look at this:


    Do you have ZoneAlarm Pro 3 or 4?

    can't link to this bit, but can copy/paste:

    First, check in the upper right-hand corner of the ZoneAlarm Window. You should see an “All Systems Active” message in green letters (to the right of the lock). If the panel is displaying “All systems Active” and ZoneAlarm is still not functioning properly, it is possible that some files have become corrupt. To repair this problem, please follow the steps in this article.

    i hate zonealarm. i use blackice becuase you can disable application protection easily and it doesn't bother you.
