I was installing Netscape, my firewall popped up a window and I automatically clicked "no" without looking. Things began to freeze so I rebooted- When I logged back on, I entered my username and password and I was taken to a fresh desktop. Everything I had was GONE. I did a file search and all my information is in the computer under my username, however, each time I log in- it's as if I'm a faux user... I use my same name- but my computer renames me and redirects to a fresh desktop. I can't access ANYTHING as it won't allow me to be an admin user.

I checked the task manager and it won't let me end anything that might be causing this. I'm stuck and so used to my desktop... that I can't recall my outlook password, ftp passwords etc., I'd just start new, but there's vital information in there that I can't access!

    I run Win 2000
