I am trying to find a replacement powersupply for a hewlett packard computer.
The computer I have will run for a short period of time then it will shut down completely. I can restart it after a short period of time. My question is what type of powersupply does HP use. Is it a atx style or something else? I am at work and I am trying to get the model number from home. I was hoping that someone would know off the top of their head. thanks for all the help.

First off, you'll have to be a lot more specific. HP has made many computers over the last couple of years, and there are a variety of power supply styles.

From your description, it's not possible to determine if it even is the P/S that is the problem, what makes you so sure that's the failing component? This could be a cooling issue because the processor fan has failed, and the machine is shutting down on a thermal cutout, for instance.
