Hey guys please help me I bought a new laptop and I have an old CD of the game sims 2 collection which is 2 disks I wanted to download it I downloaded the sims 2 then I wanted to download the pack of it every time I install any pack it says either insert disk 2 and I do inserted it but it's not working or it says the game is not the updated one what should I do please help me

I'm a little confused. Sims 2 itself is 2 discs isn't it? It requires disc 2 to play as far as I know.
After you install the base game, what do you try next? Are the expansions your asking about included on the 2 disc set?
There is a patch for the original Sims 2 to help it work on windows 7, not sure if it works well on Windows 8.

I don't have expansions for my Sims 2 so not sure if it works like this but,... You may need to use the disc 2 from the expansions in order to play.

Maybe clarify exactly what steps you do. what installs then what point it fails.
and we call in installing not downloading. :D downloading sounds like your stealing it off the internet.

No henrikmudtmilo, we do not and will not tell people to download "free" games from the internet. Downloading a "free" Sims 2 is illegal.

Usually Disc 1 is the play disc. I will have to doublecheck.
