hi friend help me

    i want to scan all port in fc5 and scan output will be stored in text file
    and i need status and service information for all active ports
    pls friends help me

    Probably the quickest way to do this would be to do a simple netstat and output it to a txt file.

    :~$ netstat > netstat.txt

    Netstat should give you ALL the information you are looking for as far as what service is running on what port.

    :~$ whatis netstat
    netstat (8) - Print network connections, routing tables, interface statistics, masquerade connections, and multicast memberships

    I also think you can run a Nessus scan against yourself if you're looking for open ports and such.

    Depends what you're looking for specifically.
