I do not appreciate your intervention in my topic. Regular users are not allowed to post in the malware removal forum for a reason. We need to ensure the quality of advice given and protect the visitors of this site from potentially harmful advice.

If you would like to find out what it takes to get approved to help out in that forum see here:

Why is it that you do not appreciate my intervention? Person was able to make a full recovery without reformatting and without losing all their data (you know since you tell them they can't back up their stuff).

Do not be so quick to agree with quitters.

I'm sorry, I realize I was rude and I apologize for that. You caught me at a bad time.

I do appreciate your desire to help. I have that same urge. I'm glad you were able to remove all the symptoms on that system but I still feel a format/reinstall would have been the best course of action for the reasons I gave in the thread.

I know from experience how difficult it can be to try to remove one of these infections. I've tried a number of times not wanting to be a "quitter" as you termed it but have found that it can be way more trouble than it's worth; especially when the system will be reinfected in less than a week after all the symptoms are gone and I thought the infection was too.

We have way more threads than our team can handle in that forum and because of it I am forced to make those kinds of decisions. I could have chosen to fight that infection and it could have taken me a whole week of attacking it from different angles only to find that a week after that it was all for naught (this has happened before); or I could have chosen to do what I did and now have more time to spend on all the other problems I've taken on.

I worked hard at getting myself trained and certified to help in that forum and it has proven to be a really rewarding experience. You should consider joining one of those schools yourself. We could really use the help.

Now: every forum has its rules and because this is a privately owned forum they can impose these rules without having to argue about their right to do so. Regular users are not allowed to provide help with malware removal unless they are authorized to do so and you should not be providing help over private messages either. You'll also need to stop offering assistance over remote access to people's computers as we cannot monitor the quality of that help and Tech Support Guy's reputation is at stake when you do.

As long as you follow the rules I'm sure you'll fit right in. We could use all the extra talent we can get.

I do welcome you here and hope you'll stay.

It is obvious to me that you have no intention of following the rules here. You have also abused the site by posting only for the purpose of being able to PM someone so you could violate the rules by providing unauthorized assistance beind the scenes.

Therefore your account has been banned permanently.

    Closing thread.
