    Used to play on Win98SE,

    Recently upgraded to Win2K

The game will not go past the "hardware setup" screen.

Anybody know of any known issues with Win2K an H&D (heck, does anyone remember the game :) .

    Thanks

Never heard of the game :D

    .

One thing I can suggest is trying To play the game using VDMSound.

A lot of issues with older games are soundcard related and that program solves a LOT of them.

    Me, neither:D

But poking around the web, got generally very good reviews - don't know why it's not more popular - and there is a H&DII to be released in Europe, but no word on US release....

I'm guessing you have the original H&D, with Devil's Bridge expansion? If so, there's a patch for the game at TalonSoft's website , but none for Devils Bridge. Maybe the patch will work for you, if Jtoast's suggestion on VDM doesn't.

And, in the ever conflicting info available on the web, there's this compatability site, look about half way down the page.
