A friend of mine used my pc to download a drivers for another friend in order to use a wireless pc adapter to join his network. But has left my pc with a problem...

I have some hidden files on my pc. To view these files I click on a folder (any folder does it) click on tools, scroll down to options and change the setting to 'view hidden files'.

But he has left my pc in a state such that when I go to tools the only options there are: 'map network drive', 'disconnect network drive', and 'synchronize'. It's as if my computer is on a network but it actually isn't.

Does anybody know another possible way I can get to my hidden files, or a way to make my tools button behave normally.

    please help..

    thanks for the help stantley,
I've just realised I've had this problem because my pc's been infected with the brontok[a] worm and I'm guessing it was through one of my friends emails he checked that day,
I'm getting it cleared up though...
