    Morning!

I'm trying to connect to connect two PC's with XP Pro over a network via the shared folders. I know the domains are the same so that isn't the issue. The hidden share is still enabled on the other machine. I go to explorer and type in \\PCname\c:\$ and I get a message saying that I need to check my spelling. The name is correct, so how should I enter in the location in the address bar?

That didn't work either. I did try typing it in as //PCName/c$ and IE7 opened up. At the bottom of the window, I could see the IP of the machine but I still couldn't connect the machines.

I typed it in windows explorer but IE7 opened up because I was using //. I've tried typing \\PCName\c:$ and \\PCName\c$ in My Computer view and Windows Explorer but neither are working.

    double posting allowed here?

c:$ is incorrect. No hidden share ever has the colon

I don't know about the double posting but I originally posted here when I probably should have originally posted this in the network section.
