Is their a download tool for firefox which would allow me to highlight text on a web page and save it so anytime I open up this web page in firefox, I will always find that piece of text highlighted?

No I do not believe such a utility exists. Web pages are too dynamic in nature in the manner in which they are displayed, effectively they get recreated in your PC from the HTML code they contain.

Yeah but they save cookies and stuff to your temporary files. There must be a program as such out there... I hope.

I can't see how it could work, you have no control over the web pages or any edits or coding.

Cookies are an entirely different thing.

What do you really want to do, and why? There may be another solution?

This might be as close as you can get.Hit Ctrl-F then start typing the text you'd like to find. See attatched screenshot.
