One MAJOR problem you have is you are several Critical Updates behind from Windows Updates..these are very important to patching your system and keeping Sasser and other baddies off of your computer. Go to Windows Update and get all CRITICAL Updates. The above statement is NOT meant to and does not include SP2. I don't believe SP2 is a Critical Update but I may be wrong. There is much information on the Web regarding the Pros and Cons of SP2. Use this info to make your own decision.

Open your Control Panel>Add/Remove and uninstall the following..New net, ISTBar, Delfin Media Player, DownloadWare. If NewNet isn't listed in add remove use the steps found here, #4 in particular.
Reboot when asked by the uninstaller..

Please Download CWShredder from HERE Close ALL other windows and run the Program. Press the "Fix" button and let it fix all variants. Next, Close CWShredder.

(If you already have AdAwareSE 1.03 installed make SURE that it is updated with the latest ref-file; AND use the setting in the 'speech' below)
Can you please download Ad-aware SE Personal 1.03 and install it.

Before scanning with Ad-aware SE Free:
Run a FULL adaware scan using the following configuration below
    • Update
      • Select Check for updates.
      • Then Connect and download SE1R7 02.09.2004 or latest.
    • Click Start
    • Select Perform Full System Scan and hit Next to let Ad-Aware scan your drives.
    • It will list malware files and registry keys. Click Next.
    • Under the Critical Objects tab, rightclick in the list, choose Select All, then Next.
    • It will ask for verification of checked items. Choose OK.
    • Close Ad-Aware, Shut down and reboot your system.

After reboot re-run HijackThis and post a new log back to this thread.
