Hijack This

    I have a problem running hijack this it does not make a log file and states that none exists. What do I do to fix it?:eek:

    The installer won't allow me to run it as a administrator I think it might be the host files that are locked from Spyware Blaster

    If you're using Windows Vista or Windows 7, go into Control Panel - User Accounts, then turn off the user account control(UAC) feature, then restart your computer.

    Besides this feature being annoying, it prevents HiJackThis from working properly in some computers.

    I am also having problems with windows dvd maker. Windows dvd maker shuts off after I put in a file a click next the windows just shuts and closes the program.

    Are we dealing with the same computer?

    Did you turn off UAC and then restart your computer and then try to run a scan with HiJackThis?
