Download and unzip or install these programs/applications if you haven't already got them. If you have them, then make sure they are updated and configured as described

CWshredder from http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/

Spybot - Search & Destroy from http://security.kolla.de

AdAware 6 from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/

Close all browser windows, click on the cwshredder.exe then click "FIX" (Not "Scan only") and let it do it's thing.
and make sure you have all Microsoftsecurity updates

then reboot &

Run Sybot S&D

After installing, first press Online, press search for updates, then tick the updates it finds, then press download updates. Beside the download button is a little down pointed arrow, select one of the servers listed. If it doesn't work or you get an error message then try a different server

Next, close all Internet Explorer and OE windows, press 'Check for Problems', and have SpyBot remove all it finds that is marked in RED.

then reboot &

Before you scan with AdAware, check for updates of the reference file by using the "webupdate".

Then ........

Make sure the following settings are made and on -------"ON=GREEN"
From main window :Click "Start" then " Activate in-depth scan"

click "Use custom scanning options>Customize" and have these options on: "Scan within archives" ,"Scan active processes","Scan registry", "Deep scan registry" ,"Scan my IE Favorites for banned URL" and "Scan my host-files"

Now to scan it´s just to click the "Scan" button.

When scan is finished, mark everything for removal and get rid of it. .(Right-click the window and choose"select all" from the drop down menu) then press next and then say yes to the prompt, do you want to remove all these entries.

reboot again

then post a new hijackthis log to check what is left

I have just read all of your prior posts. You have done a good job using SpyBot, Adaware, and all the other suggestions that have been given to you. Each time you post your Hijack This report, you get responses that tell you to run the spyware. I can see in your report that you are using these programs.

I also notice that you have Mcafee Viruscan. Do you also have a Firewall installed? I am curious about this because you seem to continually pick-up various things off the web. A good firewall can help. Spywareblaster is good too. Do you have that program installed?

I use Norton Personal Firewall and Anti-virus. I used to use McAfee, but I had a lot of trouble with it. Someone on this forum suggested that I switch , but I resisted changing. But eventually, I switched. I have had no trouble with Norton Firewall for over a year, and my Hijack This report is much cleaner than yours. Maybe the Firewall helped!

Next, since you like Hijack This, I am going to recommend that you read a little bit about so you can learn more about what is in your file. Bookmark these pages and each time you get suggestions, you can review them in the tutorials.

I do not recommend that you try to fix anything yourself. As people continue to help you, you may want to study what they tell you, and over time you can learn how to fix some of the problems that keep coming back. You will find that as you learn, you will be less frustrated when you have to work on your own computer. In fact, it gets to be a lot of fun fixing the computer. You'll be an expert in no time and you will be helping others read their Hijack This report!

I have also noticed in your other posts that sometimes responders ask you if your computer is not working properly. I do not see that you have responded to those questions. It would be helpful to know if your computer is working properly. So when you say that you are "foiled again", I am not clear what that means.

In the past, those who have helped you have concentrated on helping you eliminate unwanted files. Perhaps future suggestions will attend to helping you keep those files from getting into your computer at all.

Good luck,

Mr. Peabody

Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked".

Restart in safe mode Click here to see how

Open My Computer. Go to Tools, Folder Options and click on the View tab. Make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked. Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files". Now click "Apply to all folders"
Click "Apply" then "OK"

Now find these files and delete them.

C:\WINDOWS\System32\wapisu.exe --> file
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\urpo.exe --> file
