I am getting random popup's at startup. Someone (really...not me) installed a Casino type thing which had popups popping up like mad. I took away what I thought did not belong but every once in a while I get a message pop up that say's, "Casino is not installed on your machine...whould you like to install it?"

So something is there or maybe in the registry. I thought I'd start here.

    Thanks .......Rich

Rich, not a major issue, but just so you know, the latest version of HJT is 1.97.7 if you want to update.

Good idea to go here and download/install AdAware:

    http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=506

After installing, have it go online and download latest updates. Then scan your system and everything AdAware finds is safe to fix.

    Reboot.

Not sure if I see an AV app running. Regardless, go here for an online AV scan:

    http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp

Then, open up HJT again. Okay, there's a couple of entries. Close your browser, check the following entries in HJT and click Fix. Reboot.

    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://167.165.238.4

    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://167.165.238.4

Unless you added this 01 entry to your Hosts file, have HJT fix it:

    O1 - Hosts: 12.129.205.209 search.netscape.com12.129.205.209 sitefinder.verisign.com

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {19584C66-7E0C-4497-9858-98A910062EC6} - C:\WINDOWS\y40a11fF.dll

    This 04 entry looks suspicious:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [nH6IB4] C:\WINDOWS\r5ot.exe

After rebooting find and delete this file:

    C:\WINDOWS\r5ot.exe

Now this entry, wasn't sure about, but cincisteve nailed it...it's legitimate:

    F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,C:\WINDOWS\TSI32\tsircusr.exe

    :)
