I have set the option so as to not record the search history but it still appears in the history file. Why? How do I set the options to permanently NOT save the history. What am I missing? I am using I/Explorer.

    Hi etaf:

As I write this reply I have 4 entries in the history Tab. Three showing the number of times I have entered the Email field and one showing my search to this web site(Tech Support Guys). Even with the Internet options set to delete cookies, Temp files, History, Passwords, and Web form information upon exit from the I/Exp. This does not seem to delete the history upon exit as the entries are still there the next time I open the I/Explorer. The only time I can seem to actually delete them is to manually go and use Cont. - Shift - Del which brings up the Delete Browsing History Screen and click DELETE.

ETAF: yes that item was checked so I removed the check but that still did not help. I'm at as much of a loss as I think you are. I will leave this item open for a while hoping that there may be some other ideas out there as to why this is happening?
