When i click scan on HJT i get an error message that says:
For some reason your system denied write access to the hosts file.
If any Hijacked domains are in this file , Hijack may NOT be able to fix this.
If that happens, you need to edit the file yourself. To do this , click start, Run and Type:
notepad"C:\WINNT\System32\drivers\etc\hosts"
and press enter, Find the line(s) Hijackthis reports and delete them, save the file as "hosts" (with quotes), and reboot.
Im not really sure why i am getting this error message and wanted some advice before i go through with this process. I have also included my HJT log file. so you guys can take a look at that and tell me if there is anything that needs to come off it as well.
I appreciate the time i know it is precious...
