I have a Dell gx620 - 2.8 ghz - 3 gigs of ram. I have done a fresh install of Windows XP Pro. Since installing the operating system and all my programs, I seem to have browsers that crash, errors in different programs and browser freezes at times. I am including my HJT lg and HOPE that someone can assist me in figuring out what the issues may be.

If additional information is needed, please let me know.

If you've done a hard drive format and clean reinstall of Windows XP Pro SP3, it didn't take you long to load that computer with programs and add-ons.

You're using IObit Advanced SystemCare 4 and possibly other registry cleaner/booster/optimizer/tuneup type utilities.

They will do NOTHING to improve speed and performance, but what they can do is damage Windows and break programs.

IObit Smart Defrag may have done some damage too.

My advice to you is to do another hard drive format and clean reinstall.

After that's done, stay away from unnecessary and dangerous third-party utilities.

If you've done another hard drive and clean reinstall of Windows XP SP3, you shouldn't be getting crashes, freezes, error messages, etc..

Let's see a new HiJackThis scan log.

When you format the hard drive, you need to delete all current partitions, then create a new C partition and allocate the entire hard drive capacity to it, then format that new C partition in the NTFS file system, then install Windows XP in C:\WINDOWS

You then need to get Windows XP completely up-to-date with the SP3 upgrade and the post-SP3 high priority updates.

Once Windows XP is completely up-to-date, install your antivirus program and update it and run a scan.

Only after all of that is done, you can start installing your programs and add-ons.

    --------------------------------------------------------

The way you have your computer set up right now, you have Windows XP SP2 installed in the C partition and all your programs and add-ons installed in the E partition.

You've got a bunch of programs and add-ons installed and haven't even gotten Windows XP up-to-date yet.
