Hi,

IE has become slow to load, so I suspect a BHO or similar is slowing things down. Please check and let me know if my suspicions are correct. Thanks!

Yes, your suspicions are correct, there are a couple of malware entries in your log.
Please upgrade to HJT v1.99 and post a new log asap.

Print out these instructions
Close all browser/email/explorer windows
Run HJT scan again
Checkmark the following entries and click "Fix checked"

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {2E65A557-173C-4DE9-860B-28FC5CACA542} - (no file)

O2 - BHO: G1.GZ - {79C03BC5-6C55-4B5B-921F-C02B6F1ABD7B} - C:\WINDOWS\ALL USERS\APPLICATION DATA\PRIBI\PRIBI.DLL

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [\Pribi.exe] C:\WINDOWS\ALLUSE~1\APPLIC~1\PRIBI\Pribi.exe

O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {CD67F990-D8E9-11d2-98FE-00C0F0318AFE} - (no file)

O16 - DPF: {FA13A9FA-CA9B-11D2-9780-00104B242EA3} - http://www.wildtangent.com/install/wdriver/sportsgames/trackmeet/microsoft/wtinst.cab

Now run SpybotSD scan again
Make sure you've got the latest detection updates first.

Next, Install and run AdawareSE
Click "check for updates now" (just above "Start" button) and install the detection updates
Click Start
Uncheck "search for negligible risk entries"
Checkmark "perform full system scan"
Click "Next"
Checkmark all results it finds
and click "Next" to remove them.

If it still exists, delete this folder:
C:\WINDOWS\ALL USERS\APPLICATION DATA\PRIBI

Post a new HJT v1.99 log here.

remember to close all windows before fixing with hjt

Note: You might have to temporarily disable Spybot Tea Timer first, then re-enable it afterwards.

Hi Egg,

Thanks, again. I rebooted into windows with "Load startup group items" disabled in msconfig, ran HJT, rebooted normally, and some mystery log items are still present:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {79C03BC5-6C55-4B5B-921F-C02B6F1ABD7B} - (no file)

Getting rid of PRIBI has certainly improved IE's speed, though.

Can you tell anything from those hex numbers?
