Problem: Notebook on which Local Admin account seems to run fine, but a Local User account runs very slow. User is a member of Local Admin group and Local Users group. Notebook is not joined to a domain. HJT was installed and run under the user that is experiencing the problem.

I have installed and run Spybot S&D and fixed the issues it found. I'm afraid that I may have "fixed" something that I shouldn't have. Although, it was running slow before I did this, which is why I am working on the computer in the first place. It seems to be running slightly slower after is used SS&D.

I have also run a full scan from Symantec Antivirus v10 Corporate Edition (fully updated) with the option to scan for security risks enabled.

I think that I may have to do an in-place upgrade of Windows, but before I do that I figured I'd post the log here in hopes that someone may find something that can fix it easier.

Thank in advance for your time!

I'll take no responses from 8 views in a nearly 24-hour period to mean that there is nothing obvious going on here.

    To the re-install cave!

    Thanks!
