Dave12 Hi :)

You have been hijacked and need to clean it out........

Do this as a starter.

Download AdAware6 181 from here http://lavasoft.element5.com/support/download/ . Once installed, check for updates of the ref-file from the main window of the program. The current is 01R217 08.09.2003

Set it up like this:

Make sure the following settings are made and on -------"ON=GREEN"
From main window :Click "Start" then " Activate in-depth scan"

then......

click "Use custom scanning options>Customize" and have these options on: "Scan within archives" ,"Scan active processes","Scan registry", "Deep scan registry" ,"Scan my IE Favorites for banned URL" and "Scan my host-files"

then.........

go to settings(the gear on top of AdAware)>Tweak>Scanning engine and tick "Unload recognized processes during scanning" ...........then........"Cleaning engine" and tick "Let windows remove files in use at next reboot"

then...... click "proceed" to save your settings.

Now to scan it´s just to click the "Scan" button.

When scan is finished, copy your log-file and post it here and let´s have a look at it or mark everything for removal and get rid of it

Also download
HiJack This . It comes in a zipped file, doublclick it open and hit "scan", after scan a log-file will be produced. Copy that and post it here and someone will help you out.

Die Hard :)

There are websites and downloads that will change your home page to theirs. That is what they call that nice little deed ;)

Dave12 :)

Hijacked means that a unfriendly program has taken over the control of your IE browder and redirects your typed URLs to other sites, sets your start-page to the one that the hijacker is programmed to do, it changes your search page , etc etc.

Die Hard :)

When the scan is finished the scan button will become "Save Log" click that and save the log.

Go to where you saved the log and click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" then Paste the log back here in a reply.
