    Hi,

I just moved into a house and it is wired for ethernet in every room. The toolbag that owned the house before me seems to have sabatoged the equipment and I can't get any of the ethernet ports to work. My guess is he did something with the Honeywell Quick Network. I have never worked with one, but from what I can see he took the patch panels with him. I am not familiar with how these work. Would someone please help me? It is a big house and wifi doesn't reach all the way so I am trying to hardwire a couple of computers in the offices' I am using an Airport Extreme right now. I have included pictures of the quick connect. The house is wired for theater as well, but I don't really care about that right now. Thanks again for all your help!

You're not going to get any Ethernet connection to work with the punch down block in that structured wiring cabinet. It's only used for land line phone services. If you want to repurpose those drops for Ethernet, you're going to need to buy a patch panel compatible with that cabinet for mounting purposes and pull the cables off of that punch down block to punch down on the new patch panel.

Thanks for the reply! That helps me a ton. I thought he took the equipment with him. You saved me from a huge headache!
