Buying a new DVD RECORDER BY PIONEER. I presently have a CDRW installed in my machine. What kind of cable do I need to hook up these two and use? Do you know if it comes with the DVD unit?

    Hi topazbest,
The cable will come with the DVD player probably. Check to see if the CDRW is slave to the hard drive or on its own cable. If it is on its own cable set the DVD to slave and put it on the same cable as the cdrw. If the cdrw is on the same cable as the harddrive and you have two IDE slots, put the cdrw as master and the dvd as slave and connect the cable to the second IDE slot on the motherboard and the cdrw on the first connector on the cable and the dvd on the second conector on the cable.
