Are you having problems with reading cds that have been made by yourself? (either cdrs or cdrws) If you can read standard made cds ok then the laser in the cd could be getting weak and the drive may need replacing. Have you tryed a different cdrom drive in your computer?

Depending on the OS your useing, you may need to install a UDF driver.

Some burning programs use special drivers in order to packet write CD's. You need this driver in order to read the CD's. Normally, the driver is installed with the burning program. Sometimes, installing a generic UDF driver will allow you to read them without installing the burning software.
