I"m getting a horrible pop up from Microsoft and I'm pretty sure its a hack or fake. Has anyone seen this. When I call the number (888) 514-3111 I cannot understand them and I just want the message to go away.

When that pop-up appears, you should not click on or respond to anything on it.
Simply shut down and restart your computer.
If that doesn't prevent the pop-up from re-appearing, your computer may be infected or there may be an issue with your computing/browsing habits.

I shut down several times and it doesn’t go away. Any suggestions?

Are Karenb22 and carribc the same person? If so you need to let us know which account you want to keep and which you want deleted. If not then please do not hijack another user's thread as it creates confusion.

And you NEVER call the number on any pop up you get on your computer, EVER. These are scams.

You need to start a thread in the Malware removal section and follow any Stickies they have.
