"HOT KEYS" ?????

In Win XP where do I go to set up some Hot Keys to do things automatically by just hitting the key combo? I seem to remember that it is part of 'Explorer' BUT I've searched everywhere and cannot find "Explorer"!?!?!?!?!?

I often have strings of keystrokes that I want to be able to enter without re-typing them. Some as short as an email address and some are as long as a couple paragraphs.

example: could I make a 'keyword' on 'Control W' that would automatically type,
"Ed's White Front Bar-B-Que"?????

well - here is a program that you can create macros with and then assign hot keys to them:

this thing will save multiple items in your clip board - you'd only have to copy text once then just reselect it from a menu of saved items -
