Lately, I have been unable to send emails to Hotmail addresses from OE. I'm using OE 6, IE 8 with Win XP SP 3. I did change to IE 8 just recently from IE 7. The emails don't come back as undelivered and I don't get any errors...the recipient just doesn't get them. Could IE 8 be the culprit? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Try shutting off the new smart screen filter located under Safety next to Tools in upper right corner of any webpage.

I will try that, but is that going to open me up to some phishing?

If you want you can contact hotmail support and let them know which email client is being blocked by the filter . Visit https://support.live.com/ (https://support.live.com/) .
Select Windows Live Hotmail under Standard Services.
Non-English users will be redirected to Windows Live Hotmail Help Pane.
Note English users will be redirected to http://windowslivehelp.com/Default.aspx (http://windowslivehelp.com/Default.aspx)
Enter any keyword in the Search for box, and then submit the search.
Select one of the help topics that is displayed under the search box.
Click Get more help in the lower-right corner of the window.
    Click Get support.
Complete the e-form, and then click submit.

I tried to muddle through the 'help' site, but I couldn't get anywhere...so I'm going to send emails to this one account via Hotmail and not my regular ISP. Thanks....
