Due to layoffs, 2 users had established respectively a Hotmail account through MSN Messenger and an AOL account to read their personal emails.

At start up on both machines, MSN Messenger pops up and/or AOL Messenger pops up.

How do I remove these accounts from each respective machine?

Both programs have a 'start at boot' option that can be disabled it the windows you are seeing pop up at start up. In AIM it's 'prefs' > 'sign on/off' > disable "start AIM when Windows starts".

I'm not sure where in messenger the similar option is located but probably in "options" or "settings" or something similar.

Messenger it's Start/(settings)/control panel/user accounts, select the sign in name. Go to Manage my network passwords, select user name; remove and save the change.

Delete all the names (addresses and passports) then messenger won't display the email addresses you describe, and you'll be prompted to sign in as new account.
