I've read the response to someone having the same problem here but his seemed to be tied to his acccount and he finally said hotmail did something on their end to correct it. In my case I cannot open hotmail attachments, but I only have the problem on this computer, so I can't see why it would be an account issue when I can open the attachments on many other computers. When I click "download" in the window that tells me the attachment has been scanned and free from virus' it takes me back to hotmails sign-in page. Just keeps going in circles. I'm using windows XPpro and IE version 6.0.2800.1106. Dell has been no help whatsoever!! PLEASE HELP!!
