I can send an email successfully from my hotmail account to my friend's email account. My friend can reply back to that email and I receive the replied email fine.

However, if my friend creates a new email to send to my hotmail account, it bounces back to my friend's email and it never gets sent to my hotmail account.

I have checked my hotmail SAFE SENDERS list - my friend's email address and domain are listed. I have checked the BLOCKED list and my friend's email address and domain are NOT listed.

Can you help us figure out why my friend receives a bounced email when sending to my hotmail account?

Hi scubagirl74, and welcome to TSG.

Have your friend double check the address they are using to send the new e-mails against the address that is used when they reply to your e-mail. One little typo, can prevent the e-mail from getting though. Some typos, like using a lower case "L" in place of an upper case "I" or vice-versa may not be obvious.

Good try, Thanks....unfortunately a typo in the address is not the problem. My friend is correctly typing my email address when creating a new email to send me. Anybody else have a suggestion, please?
