Hey guys...I'm back....my emails are not closing and I have been unable to run my free virus scan ( avg 6.0 ) which by the way I just downloaded the other day

it was just stopping on it's own.....I think a possible virus....here is my hijack this

Hello:

Yes, there is something not quite right here.

I see both AVG and Norton starting with Windows. Two anti-virus programs can conflict with each other. I suggest uninstalling one or the other of them before you do anything else.

As far as your log is concerned, I don't see anything suspicious.

Ok cool. Did your virus definition subscription run out on Norton?

You can have hijackthis delete this item: O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [LoadQM] loadqm.exe

You can also safely remove all the 016 category items. They are plugins and you will be prompted to add them back on if they are needed by a site. Other than that you can go through your startup list and turn off items that don't need to run unless you want to use them. They don't cause conflicts, but too many of them make for a slow startup time.
