Hi, I'm planning to buy Windows 10 Pro CD-DVD and I would like to make a bootable USB so I can install it on my new computer that doesn't have CD-DVD Drive bay. Windows 10 Pro CD-DVD is $99-$103 and Windows 10 Pro USB is $149-$199. Can you tell me how to do it? Thanks. CK

Thank you so much for your suggestions. So if I download Windows to USB I won't need the CD-DVD, right? Will I be able to use the Windows key that comes with the CD-DVD at some point during the download? Appreciate it! CK

Yes, you won't need the DVD, you can install 10 with the USB stick alone.

You will be asked for the key during the install, you can skip that and enter the key later though which I would recommend just in case the rest of the install fails somehow (unlikely but why risk it).

I suspect the new PC doesn't already have Windows on it but if it does you may be able to upgrade to 10 for free.

Thanks for your help! Yes, the computer is a new build. It doesn't have Windows on it. CK

You're the best! I just created a bootable Windows 10 USB following your links. Now I just need to find a cheap key somewhere. Thank you so much!

Be very careful about "Cheap" keys. Often they work for a while and then are blocked and the system says it needs activation. Buy an install key from a reputable seller ie microsoft, newegg, etc.
