Im finding it very hard, i dont know why. I am using a plugged in USB mouse now, but I dont want to be carrying around the mouse forever.

What are the advantages a touchpad has over a mouse/.

Keep on with the touchpad. You will get used to it. The only way to get used to something is to keep on with it ...

Turn the sensitivity down to start with and then slowly bring it back up.

FWIW, I carry a very small USB optical mouse with my laptop, because IMO the touchpad sucks, and will always suck! :D

I love the touchpad on my HP. Especially since it has a scroll pad next to it. I have a KB on my Desktop without the scroll pad....and I really miss it there.

If you use it consistently, you will pick it up fast.
