How can I get XP to use 8-bit palette texturing? This is for a game.

    ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm try rightclicking on the shortcut icon for the game
    click on properties
    click on compatibility and for display settings, run it as 256 color mode 256 colors is 8 bits

    and also run it in mode for windows 98
