Almost every day I receive spam sounds like a medical offer (for ex. "Net Based Drug Store Zyban"). I blocked sender, but it still comes different name/ email address. Also comes to NONE, not specific address (I have 3 comcast email addresses). I see this first time. I am confused what's going on. Last two spams are same IP. Should I block IP, and how can I do this? Please help me resolve this problem.

    Regards

Block sender address [email protected] . So if you are getting spammed by " [email protected] " , block address " @spammersmustdie.rtn.net".

Or maybe you would be interested in Mail Washer , which i`ve heard alot about. I as a rule do not give out my "real " e-maill address , i have a dozen " throw away accounts " with hotmail and yahoo.

Hmmm it is not so easy. As you said I block address ([email protected]) but I got different "[email protected]". Every time different, but still same message. When I block one, come next, I block this one, come another one. Example:
    [email protected]
    [email protected]
As you see different, but text sounds same:
    "FOR HIM" UNIT AMPLIFIER

    Look at this:
    From: dhananjaya switakowski

    To: None
    Subject: Male Lady Pleaser Enhancement

It is mean I am NONE??? I have 3 email addresses, so this email comes to which one.

I installed Mail Washer. Guess what happend. Its working against commercial spams, but does not stop this terrible spam.

    Any chance to stop it?

Give the program a chance to " catch up " on your spam , and be sure to configure it correctly.Spam-Pal , is another you can try .

Delete Mail Washer and try the other link. It is a little more complicated and takes time to configure , but apparently works for the " hard to stop " spam.

I used to receive emails like those......the "cheap" no name brand pharmacy pills.

On mine there was a link at the very bottom to click on. Most the time it only said "rmv" or some short link like that. You then went to a page where you could enter your email address to be removed. It took a few times and 3 or 4 days for them to stop slowing down but eventually I got them.

At least that worked for me...

    good luck!

i keep reading these same problems and am in aw of how little ppl know about how to deal with their mail clients, and spam.. mailwasher is a great tool, read the info on their help pages..

keep many email accounts..i think i'm pushing 20 accounts now.. hotmail, oe, yahoo.. now your main mail will still get spam cuz they send it to random addresses not u personally..they don't care who u r... in oe you can set message rules at the top.. u go in and can (example) choose 'where the message says..... and u fill in "porn" or " xxx" or "digital decoder" or "enhance your sex drive" whatever u get tons of spam for you enter some main words into this area..then u choose an action...(u choose delete it).. WHAT I'M SAYING IS ALL MAIL CLIENTS HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THIS..NOT ALL EXACTLY ALIKE..BUT SIMILAR..

if you have comcast check their help pages on blocking individual spam.. check google.. best to block spam is hotmail.. oe is so so and yahoo is awfull ..dont know about comcast,, but by all means do some reading on how to block spam..

and again,,,to limit the spam don't ever give out the addy to your main accounts to anyone other than family and the closest of friends!!! use other accounts ..one for bills, one for online shopping, one for signing up for things just for fun..etc..

    good luck

I ABSOLUTELY AGREE.. first clicking a link to take your name off of their list is a crock.. it does confirm your email for them.. they rarely are real and u continue to get the spam anyway...and worse..u r clicking a link in an unknown mail!! CAN U SPELL VIRUS DOWNLOAD!! LOL
