What was the old OS and is the new one? What method of installation did you chose?

If the files were in your user folders, they should have transferred to those folders.

If you don't see them there, look on the C: drive for a folder named Windows.old.

You can maybe go to Folder Options in Control Panel and check - show hidden files...; uncheck - Hide protected operating... If that doesn't work try contacting support for that software and/or read their documentation.
