How can I upgrade firmware?

    How do i check what firmware my LG 4160B has and also how do i update it?

    Easiest way to look for a firmware is to stop by the manuf. web site and under the support or downloads section will see if there is a new firmware available for your particular device. In the firmware file will see a readme file which will give instruction in how to do the firmware upgrade.

    Nero's InfoTool will tell you the current firmware version of optical drives.

    but i dont have nero's info tool where can i get it?

    EDIT: is there any other program which is free that can tell me what firmware i have?

    thanks for your help. i just finished updating after the reboot it got into windows and then rebooted i was about kick in my case window thinking it went wrong but i stopped the boot and turned it off and put it into the primary master(it was in secondary master required to update firmware) and it worked im burning a dvd now to test it.

    Also i didnt check it i didnt think it told me but the updater had current firmware listed. lol
