I was told there was a way to change fat 32 to ntfs without reformatting in win XP. Can anyone help me on that?

    Thanks,

Go to Start,Run,type "cmd.exe",at the DOS prompt type "convert c: /fs:ntfs". note the space between : and /.

But remember that what can go wrong usually does, never do such things without first backing up your important data!

From experience, as well, you may also have to reinstall some or all programs (I know that Microsoft Office definitely does need to be reinstalled).
