Lenovo laptop w/Windows 10, MS Word 2016 (Office 365): So...I followed all the instructions and can create a macro w/button no problem. But I'm stymied w/using the keyboard option, which seems to require a numberpad, which I don't have. All I want is a typical macro: I hit, say, control+a couple of letters, and the macro runs. I really tried, looked around online, but I'm stuck. Thanks for any help.

When a laptop doesn't have a number keypad, usually it has a Fn key to press to temporarily switch some keys into a number keypad. It will act like how capslock turn your keys into uppercase.

Sorry, I just don't get it. If I click "button," no problem. If I click "Keyboard," it gives me options for "specify keyboard sequence," with "current keys" or "keyboard shortcut." Nothing I enter in either box does anything. It just sits there. The YouTube videos I watched on this don't address this.
