I was wondering how to create a reformat disk for a compaq presario SR2013WM. model # "RE468AA"
Last year a tech came out to bring me another harddrive. !
He said that i need to make a "format disk"
we had the option to use 26 "c.d.'s" or 2 "dvd-r"
he made the system recovery disk in front of my eyes.
does anyone know how to go thru the step's and make one ?
if so please list all i need to know ,
    thanx

Hp/Compaq gives the option and reccommends that you make recovery cd/dvd's but you're only allowed one set per computer.. once you make the original's that's it.. you can't make numerous copies for use on other computers.. If you need them why not use the ones the tech made?

You're welcome.. and as stated once the disks are made you won't be able to make any more.. so keep them in a safe place.. otherwise you have to order them from HP.. Good Luck!
