    Hi everyone:

I have several hundred "obsolete" files in my App Data folder and do not know how to delete them. I believe this folder is my message store folder but most of the files (99%) are old email messages. These are old emails which I permanently deleted from my mail box but they continue to accumulate. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Try starting in safe mode.
Just before windows starts, tap F8 and select safe mode from the boot menu.
This will start windows in safe mode and may keep the mail service from starting,
keeping it from locking those files.
    Don't delete any system files.
