Whenever I open an exe file or something like that, a Open File - Security Warning dialog pops up. How do I disable it?
Also, I googled and I found that I had to do gpedit.msc. I opened run and typed it in and it says it's missing. -.-

    Hello, and welcome to TSG.

Not all systems will have Group Policy to edit - are you on Windows Home? All it's doing is suggesting you think again before running an executable programme. Is, or perhaps was, this machine part of a commercial network before you bought it?

Yes, I'm running Windows XP Home Edition. And I really want to disable it.

It's not even present in XP Home so it cannot be disabled.

    Try this fix: EXEFIX

Save the .reg file to your desktop. Double-click it to merge it to the registry.

    Reboot.

If the fix only opens as a text file, right-click it and select Open With > Choose Program... Then, select the Registry Editor.

If the Registry Editor is not in the list, browse to C:\WINDOWS and select regedit.

It did work but it didn't actually need to. You aren't suffering form an inability to open files of type .exe - you have a difficulty with being warned about certain files of type .exe. These could be malicious files that cause a warning to save your system a lot of pain. Can you list some of the files that cause this warning and also post the exact warning, preferably with a screenshot of the Message Box?
