I hope I'm in the right forum. I am looking at a used IBM A31 Thinkpad laptop w/Win XP Pro. How can I tell how old it is?

The serial/model number and the website of the manufacturer would be a place to start looking. In this case IBM.com?

LOL, Yeah you are most likely right. Sorting through IBMs site would be allot tougher.
